     While you're visiting, you will hear Welsh spoken as an everyday working language. Why not try out a phrase or two - perhaps with the help of a friendly local!

Croeso!  (Welcome!)
This is pronounced "kroy-so".
Bore da  (Good day)
This is pronounced "Borra-daa".
Sut dach chi?  (How are you?)
This is pronounced "sit dach chee". In Welsh, the "ch" sound is prounounced as in the Scottish word "loch".
Da iawn diolch  (Very well thanks)
This is pronounced "die yown dee-olch".
Os gwelch yn dda  (Please)
This is pronounced "oss-gwel-ooch un ddar". In Welsh, the "dd" sound is pronounced like the English "th", for example "this".
Diolch  (Thank you)
This is pronounced "dee-olch".
Mynydd  (Mountain)
This is pronounced "mun-idd".
Rwy'n dy garu di!  (I love you!)
This is pronounced "roo-een dee garry dee".
Un, dou, tri, pedwar  (One, two, three, four)
This is pronounced "een, die, tree, ped-waar".
Lake Llyn  /  Llanberis  /  Llangollen
